I know this sounds like a stupid thing to say, but many places are either debating (or already are) teaching sex education in classrooms with photos (that Wikipedia page may or may not become part of the process).

Personally I'd prefer diagrams so students learn about certain concepts and not feel bad about what they're looking at, unlike actual photos where it can be a very real eyesore. For some (especially 11 and 12 year olds, yes it's perfectly normal to teach kids that age due to puberty), the subject can be confronting enough as it is, but having photos would add an unnecessary psychological strain on the matter. This could on the one hand lead students to forgo/ignore sex ed with the hopes of working out shit the hard way, which is bad because it leads to accidents and other shit. On the other hand, it could lead some to become to afraid of sex, or wanting a partner, and therefore forgo things like marriage, having children, and if even 20% of students react like this then we'll all have a very serious aging population crisis on hour hands (as if current trajectories aren't bad enough already), and I don't think the very few who try to try to have 5+ kids would be able to solve that either.

Some people may have good intentions, but sometimes we gotta stop and think about what we're really doing. Yes, the population growth rate in many places is going down, yes the global population is forecast to peak this century and then begin declining, and no the number of children people are having nowadays isn't part of the problem (as explained by the late Hans Rosling). But contributing to population decline is actually the LAST thing we should be doing, you'd be surprised how and the many ways in which consequences can come back to bite.
